Gary Drouillard has joined ICO from BC Tel in Vancouver to manage roaming implementation with IS41 networks. At BC Tel he was Manager of Roaming Administration and Fraud Control, responsible for all roaming operations and for the management and development of BC Tel Mobility's roaming systems and relationships.

Cynthia Hester will manage the marketing of cellular services in North America. She joins ICO from Southwestern Bell Wireless, where she was Marketing Manager, responsible for all marketing activity for the Arkansas and Tulsa, Okla., markets.

Uwe Mayer will manage ICO's terrestrial cellular services for the Americas. Prior to joining ICO, Mayer was Director of Roaming at American Personal Communications, responsible for the coordination of all roaming activities, domestic and international.

Scott Silvey joins ICO as Senior Account Manager, responsible for establishing distribution channels for ICO's products and services. Prior to joining ICO, Silvey was Vice President and General Manager, Network Services, for Pana-Pacific Corporation. There he managed a portfolio of customer acquisition processes worth $60m with companies such as GTE, Airtouch, PacBell, Nextell and Western Wireless.

He previously held the position of Vice President of Sales, responsible for over $225 million in wireless equipment revenue.

The team will be further strengthened by Tim Brooks, who moves to the Washington office from New Jersey. He will manage IS41 services worldwide, with an emphasis on the Americas. Brooks has been working for ICO in this capacity for two years.

Prior to joining ICO, Brooks was Director Project Management at Bell Atlantic International Wireless, responsible for overseeing the business and financial analysis activities for Bell Atlantic International Wireless business development opportunities.

"These managers are customer-oriented and proven leaders in their respective fields," said Mary Frost, Vice President and Regional General Manager of ICO North America. "Collectively, they will contribute substantially to ICO's service distribution and market development as we move forward to service launch in 2000."

ICO's services will be based on a new generation of pocket-size mobile phones, which will allow users to make and receive calls at any time, anywhere in the world. The handsets will be dual mode, capable of working on satellite, cellular and PCS networks. Using their handsets, customers will be able to roam between ICO and mobile networks around the world.

If no cellular network is available, the handset will roam to ICO's satellite network to offer customers unrestricted mobility and accessibility for their communications needs.

Affordable services will be available to a wide range of users--from people living and working in remote rural areas to the international business traveller. In addition ICO will offer services to the road transport, maritime and aeronautical sectors.
