Beijing, Moscow have great potential for space cooperation

Russia and China have several areas of fruitful cooperation, in particular, the construction of engines and various electronic components for space exploration, according to the head of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA).

China and Russia have great potential for cooperation in the area of space exploration, the head of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA) said on Friday.

"Russia and China have a good mechanism of cooperation," Xu Dazhe said.

He stressed that Russia and China have several areas of fruitful cooperation, in particular, the construction of engines and various electronic components for space exploration.

"From this point of view, our cooperation is very productive, there are great opportunities for the future of its development," the head of the space agency said.

Xu added that the head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Roscosmos, Igor Komarov, would arrive in Beijing on Saturday, and would take part in the celebration of China's National Day of Space Flight.
