Boeing contracted for maintenance on Qatari AH-64E Apache helicopters
by Sam Howard
Washington (UPI) Dec 27, 2018

The Army has contracted Boeing to conduct maintenance on the Qatari air force's AH-64E helicopters.

The roughly $49.2 million deal will fund services conducted by a Maintenance Augmentation Team, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The full $49.2 million will be obligated at the time of the award using the Army's fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds.

The Defense Department expects work to conclude by July 2024.

The AH-64Es, also known as Apaches, are helicopters that typically carry AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rocket pods. They have four blades and are rotary-winged.
