Eltek, the world leader in high efficiency power systems for telecommunications, industrial applications and renewable energy projects, today announced that its award-winning THEIA HE-t grid tie solar inverters have been qualified for inclusion in the Emerging Renewables Program (ERP) by the California Energy Commission (CEC) with peak efficiency of up to 97 percent, the highest for single-phase, isolated inverters.

Successful testing and achievement of eligibility for the CEC's ERP verifies that Eltek's THEIA HE-t 2.0KW, 2.9KW, 3.8KW and 4.4KW transformer-isolated inverters deliver performance that meets or exceeds expectations for renewable energy devices used in grid-connected photovoltaic systems.

In addition to assessing inverter operation and performance efficiency, the CEC evaluation tests cover maximum power point tracking (MPPT) accuracy, photovoltaic array utilization, voltage and current operating windows and AC grid interface.

In 2012, the THEIA HE-t, already certified for use in Asian and European markets, achieved Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 1741 certification for safety, power quality and interface compatibility which qualifies it for sale in the North American solar market. In addition, the inverter has attained SunSpec Alliance certification, proving that it meets global interoperability specifications.

The THEIA HE-t has won multiple design and performance awards for Eltek including the prestigious red dot award for product design 2012, the Norwegian Design Council Award for design excellence and an "A-rating" for performance from PHOTON Profi, a prominent international solar energy magazine.

"Achievement of this CEC recognition for performance builds on Eltek's earlier approval by UL and the internationally recognized SunSpec Alliance," said David Leal, Eltek Vice President of Sales for North America. "The THEIA HE-t solar inverter continues to demonstrate that its impressive design, high efficiency and reliability place it among the top solar energy solutions in the world."

Lightweight and compact, THEIA HE-t inverters feature a flexible connection set, backlit color display and integrated web server for quick configuration and easy operation.

The Eltek THEIA HE-t product line is available now from Eltek's worldwide sales force.
