Families visit Iraqis jailed in Kuwait since 1991 war![]() |
The six men have been held in Kuwait Central Prison since a US-led international coalition ousted Iraqi troops that occupied the oil-rich emirate for seven months.
It was the second such visit of its kind, the ICRC said in a statement.
The families were allowed to speak freely with the prisoners.
"This will bring major psychological relief both to the detainees and to their families," said Jean-Michel Monod, the head of the ICRC's regional delegation in Kuwait.
