GeckoSystems Ready For Explosive Growth In Personal Robots
Conyers GA (SPX) Apr 07, 2009 GeckoSystems has announced that their multi-tasking personal robot product, the CareBot MSR, satisfies the requirements indicated by ABI Research to penetrate this growing marketplace. The report from ABI Research is predicting that by the year 2015, people will probably be willing to spend as much for a multi-tasking humanoid robot as they would for a new car. "Within six years, the personal robot market will likely balloon to $15 billion," said Philip Solis, an analyst at the New York-based research firm. GeckoSystems' suite of mobile robot solutions includes automatic self navigation software (GeckoNav), verbal interaction for voice control and responses (GeckoChat), and automatic person following (GeckoTrak) from their multi-tasking humanoid personal robot, the CareBot. "Consumers will become eager to spend extra money on multitask robots that can perform effectively," continued Solis. "There is money to be made in personal robots, specifically within the task and entertainment segments." "We are very pleased to learn that a prestigious, international market research firm has independently determined that this emerging marketplace's expectations as to price and functionality are exceeded by our CareBot product line of personal robots," commented Martin Spencer, President/CEO of GeckoSystems.
