ICG Names New Iridium Reseller

International Communications Group announced Tuesday it has appointed L2 Consulting Services as an authorized reseller for its Iridium-based satellite communication products in the aviation market.

L2 will be responsible for promoting and selling ICG products within the military, government and civil cargo industries. The company also will offer first-line response for product installation, technical support and service requests.

"In our military sector, we currently have six resellers, including L2, which signed an agreement with us in March," Sandy Hickey, an ICG spokeswoman, told SpaceDaily.com.

Founded in 1997, L2 is a provider of avionics engineering, integration and installation services for the global air-transport industry. The company specializes in integrating digital avionics into analog-era aircraft. L2's service area includes North America and select international locations.

ICG develops mobile communications integration, automation and management systems - including CTU systems, corded and cordless handsets, single and multi-channel Iridium systems and data management devices - for the aerospace, military, and maritime industries. ICG is an Iridium value-added manufacturer and has developed Iridium-based solutions for mobile satellite communication applications.

Parker Hannifin announced Tuesday it has acquired Resistoflex Aerospace, a division of Crane. The business produces fluid connectivity and conveyance products for the aerospace industry and had sales of $16 million in 2005. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
