Lockheed Martin receives two F-22 Raptor contract modifications

Northrop Grumman receives modification for Japanese Hawkeye contract
Washington (UPI) Oct 21, 2016 - Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Military Aircraft Systems, was awarded a $14 million U.S. Navy contract modification for the Japanese E-2D Hawkeye aircraft.

The modification to the previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm target contract covers spares and support equipment for the government of Japan.

Work will be performed in Indiana, Florida, New York, Illinois, California and various other locations in the continental United States.

The expected completion date is April 2019.

Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting entity.

The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye sweeps ahead of strikes, manages the mission and keeps net-centric carrier battle groups out of harm's way.

It offers expanded battle space awareness, particularly in the area of information operations, delivering battle management, theater air and missile defense and multiple sensor fusion capabilities in an airborne system.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has been awarded two contract modifications for about $28 million for work in support of the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor aircraft.

The first modification to a previously awarded contract is for $20.4 million and covers touch labor and installs at the Ogden Depot, as well as at F-22 operational bases.

Work will be performed at U.S. Air Force bases across the country and has an expected completion date of December 2016.

The second firm-fixed-price option to a previously awarded contract is for $7.6 million and covers F-22 sustainment activities.

Work will be performed in Texas and has an expected completion date of December 2017.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting entity for both contracts.

Lockheed Martin gets $20 million Italian C-130J contract modification
Washington (UPI) Oct 21, 2016 - Lockheed Martin Rotary and Missions Systems has received a $20 million contract modification for work on Italian C-130J Super Hercules aircraft trainer systems.

The firm-fixed-price modification to the previously awarded contract covers the upgrade to the Aeronautica Militare C-130J operational flight trainer and cockpit avionics part task trainer systems.

Work will be performed in Georgia and has an expected completion date of July 2019.

The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting entity.

Lockheed delivered the first C-130H to the Italian air force in 1972 and the first C-130J to the service in 2000.

Italy now has 21 of the aircraft in its fleet.
