Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: RKLB) has introduced Flatellite, a satellite designed for large-scale production and optimized for deployment in extensive constellations, particularly for national security and high-value commercial applications.

Flatellite is a stackable, high-power, long-lifespan satellite that provides secure, low-latency, high-speed connectivity and advanced remote sensing capabilities. Engineered for the defense and commercial sectors, its compact structure allows for increased deployment per launch, integrating seamlessly with Rocket Lab's Neutron rocket for efficient space access.

The development of Flatellite aligns with Rocket Lab's broader strategy to establish itself as a fully vertically integrated satellite manufacturer. By leveraging both internal innovations and strategic acquisitions, the company has created a spacecraft that incorporates Rocket Lab's proprietary components, including propulsion systems, avionics, flight software, reaction wheels, star trackers, separation mechanisms, solar arrays, composite structures, radios, and fuel tanks. This level of integration enables rapid, high-volume production without sacrificing reliability or performance.

The demand for large, dependable satellite constellations is escalating across both commercial and defense markets.
