Sikorsky to produce 24 Black Hawk helicopters for Taiwan

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has received a $135 million U.S. Army contract modification covering a foreign military sale of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to Taiwan.

The Lockheed Martin subsidiary is to produce 24 of the uniquely configured aircraft for the Taiwanese government.

Work will be performed in Connecticut, with an estimated completion date is October 2018.

Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.

The UH-60M is an advanced version of the Black Hawk that serves in the most extreme conditions worldwide.
