SpacePath Communications has been awarded a contract for its high-power Ka-band amplifiers to power a new teleport in the Middle East. As part of the contract, SpacePath will supply amplifiers and sub-systems for a major new teleport in the Middle East. Each amplifier system will provide an L- band input, with coverage across the entire Ka-band (27.5-30.00GHz).

Using the latest 650W high-power TWT available, SpacePath's Ka-band amplifiers lead the way in terms of small size, low weight and high efficiency, incorporating the company's unique carbon fin air-cooling structure which is around half the weight of copper-based cooling systems.

In addition to the innovative heat sink design, the amplifiers also feature removable and washable air intake filters for cost-effective maintenance and convenience.

Newton Burnet, managing director, SpacePath Communications, said: "As a critical link in any satellite communications network, we're delighted to have been selected to support this important teleport project with our amplifiers. This latest contract also underlines SpacePath's technology leadership in high-power millimetre wave amplifier design, where we strive to combine innovation with practical end-user features."

SpacePath's high performance uplink amplifiers cover all mission-critical segments including satellite newsgathering (DSNG), flyaway or truck-based systems, fixed-earth stations and military satellite communications.
