Trina Solar has announced that it has achieved the No. 1 position in Australia's PV market. According to a new report from Solar Business Services ("Australian PV - Technology and Brands 2013"), Trina Solar was the most popular solar panel brand in Australia during 2012, accounting for 100MW of installations.

The rise to the top position is attributed to the success of its high-performing Honey Cell Technology based products, which are well suited for Australia's rooftop system requirements.

"We are very pleased by the report's findings and would like to thank our channel partners for their strong support and commitment to the Trina Solar brand," said John Susa, Trina Solar Australia's Managing Director.

"We have developed our channel network carefully to ensure high quality representation with long-term partners who focus on providing quality customer service and installations. Having an experienced and dedicated local team has also been a key factor in our success in the residential and commercial segments."

Australia is regarded as one of the prime markets globally for PV solar generation due to its high irradiance and favorable year round climate for system installation, operation, and maintenance.
