A Pennsylvania-headquartered company is to help support the U.S. Air Force's fleet of C-17 Globemaster III transports under an award from Boeing.

The Triumph Group Inc. said that under a three-year contract from Boeing, maker of the airlifter, it will provide overhaul and maintenance services for the aircraft's auxiliary power units, fan thrust reversers, pitch trim actuators, landing gear manifold and ramp actuators.

The work will be performed at a number of locations of its Aerospace Systems Group and the Aftermarket Services Group.

"This contract demonstrates Boeing's confidence in the value and service levels of our current agreement and represents a continuation of our many years of working with them in providing overhaul and maintenance services for the C-17 Globemaster III," said Jeffry D. Frisby, Triumph's President and CEO. "We look forward to continuing to support this program."

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

The Triumph Group designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs and overhauls a broad range of aircraft structures, components, sub-assemblies and systems.
