France on Wednesday expressed its satisfaction with the UN nuclear watchdog agency's resolution on Iranian nuclear activities, saying it was balanced."France is very satisfied with this resolution. Its content is balanced," said Herve Ladsous, spokesman for the French foreign ministry, during a press conference.
The resolution "delivers a very firm judgement on the past activities of Iran in the nuclear domain and encourages it to continue and to confirm its choice for a new policy of transparency and cooperation with the international community", he added.
The resolution adopted by the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency unanimously condemned Iran for nearly two decades of covert nuclear activities but did not recommend that Tehran face possible UN sanctions.
