CORRECTED: N Korea says US sub deployment may meet threshold for nuclear weapons use
Seoul, July 20 (AFP) Jul 20, 2023
North Korea's defence minister said Thursday the current port visit of a US nuclear-capable submarine to South Korea could meet the legal conditions under which Pyongyang would use its nuclear weapons.

"The deployment of the strategic nuclear submarine and other strategic assets may fall under the conditions of the use of nuclear weapons specified in the DPRK law on the nuclear force policy," Pyongyang's defence minister Kang Sun Nam said in a statement.
