Israel medics report one wounded after Iranian missile attack
Jerusalem, April 4 (AFP) Apr 04, 2026
The Israeli army said Saturday its air defences were working to down missiles fired from Iran, which medics reported wounded one person.

Israel and Iran have been trading missile salvos since a US-Israeli bombing campaign began in late February, killing Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and mushrooming into a wider regional war.

"Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the military said on Telegram.

Israel's Magen David Adom emergency services said a 45?year?old man was treated for minor injuries from glass shrapnel in the central city of Bnei Brak and taken to hospital.

The army later said civilians were permitted to leave protected spaces nationwide, while search and rescue forces were "on their way to sites in central Israel where reports of impact have been received".
