GomSpace North America, in a significant advancement of their ongoing partnership with SAIC, a leading $7 billion Federal contractor based in Reston, Virginia, has embarked on a new phase. Initially forging a strategic alliance in 2023, SAIC has now acquired a satellite kit from GomSpace. This kit will be the cornerstone of a specialized satellite project spearheaded at SAIC's space development center, with collaboration from GomSpace's team of engineers and scientists. With over 15 years of experience in producing durable and dependable satellites and components, GomSpace is a pivotal player in the space industry.

Frank Tobin, President and CEO of GomSpace North America, highlighted the importance of this progression, stating, "This move marks a significant step towards the realization of manufacturing satellite constellations in the U.S. With SAIC as our system integrator and AIT partner, we're setting the groundwork for mass constellation production in the foreseeable future."

Peter Weilbach, senior director for space systems integration at SAIC's Space and Intelligence Business Group, emphasized the vast potential this collaboration holds for the space domain, offering innovative solutions across both commercial and defense sectors. "Our partnership leverages GomSpace's manufacturing prowess and our integration capabilities, allowing us to excel in our respective strengths," Weilbach noted.
