Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training has received a $204 million contract modification for Aegis missile defense efforts. The cost-plus-incentive-fee, sole-source modification to the previously awarded contract covers Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense continuation of Baseline 5.1, Increment-2 development, as well as the adaptation of Aegis Ashore efforts. Completion of these efforts will provide a certified Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense 5.1 baseline. The contract modification boosts the total cumulative value to $2.4 billion. Work will be performed in New Jersey and is expected to be completed by September 2018. The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity.
