This rebranding initiative is designed to both pay homage to the company's storied past and to better align with its forward-looking ambitions in the burgeoning era of space exploration and commerce.

Mike Greenley, CEO of MDA Space, elaborated on the rebranding, "Integrating 'Space' into our name encapsulates our enduring legacy and our future trajectory. The space economy is on an upward trajectory, evidenced by its growth to $509 billion in 2023, with forecasts suggesting a surge to $1.5 trillion by 2040.
