EpiSci's TacticalAI software is set to be integrated into Northrop Grumman's aeronautics system architecture, aimed at expediting the deployment of advanced autonomous capabilities.
"Through collaboration with dynamic smaller firms like EpiSci, we aim to satisfy the complex needs of our clients," stated Tom Pieronek, chief technology officer and vice president of research and technology at Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems. "This partnership will not only advance our capability to deliver innovative solutions to the battlefield but also leverage our longstanding experience in autonomy to maintain superiority against emerging threats."
The collaboration utilizes the U.S. government's open-architecture design, enabling Northrop Grumman's autonomy solutions to include third-party collaborative technologies. This flexibility allows unmanned aircraft systems to adjust to evolving mission requirements, enhancing operational versatility for military leaders in challenging scenarios.
Dr. Dan Javorsek, chief technology officer at EpiSci, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting, "By integrating our software with Northrop Grumman's robust hardware and control systems, we can enhance the delivery of reliable autonomous solutions crucial for the success of military operations."
