Orbit Communication Systems Ltd. (TASE: ORBI), a global leader in SATCOM solutions, has been awarded a $9.1 million contract by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to deliver advanced Multi-Purpose Terminals (MPTs) for both mobile and stationary platforms. Delivery is scheduled for 2025.

Daniel Eshchar, CEO of Orbit, commented, "This strategic win represents a significant milestone for Orbit, reinforcing our position as a trusted technology partner for defense organizations worldwide. It reflects the great confidence in Orbit's technological capabilities, as we provide satellite communication systems for various maritime, ground, and airborne platforms to global customers, including airborne platforms of the U.S. military and NATO countries."

The terminals will enhance the Israeli Defense Forces' (IDF) satellite communication capabilities, ensuring superior connectivity across diverse operational platforms. Orbit's innovative MPTs, including the MPT-30 and MPT-46 models, deliver high reliability, data rates of up to 126 Mbps for downloads, and robust performance in challenging environments. These terminals are designed to support mission-critical communication, allowing uninterrupted transmission of high-volume data such as live video feeds.

Orbit's recent successes, including its collaboration with VIASAT on next-generation Viasat 3 satellite terminals and ongoing defense contracts, highlight its leadership in the global SATCOM market. The company's commitment to innovation and versatility is evident in the design of its terminals, which meet stringent MIL-STD and Civil standards and ensure compatibility with military satellite systems. Their low size, weight, and power consumption (SWaP) make them ideal for diverse military applications, including Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (ISR).

"This order, combined with our recent selection by VIASAT to develop next-generation terminals for their Viasat 3 satellites and additional orders from the Ministry of Defense, validates our technological leadership in the global SATCOM market," added Eshchar. "As the Israeli defense establishment continues to be a strategic customer for Orbit, we remain committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our defense and commercial customers worldwide."

Orbit's terminals enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness, providing critical communication lines that adapt to the evolving demands of modern military operations.
