US 'not conducting air strikes in Syria': Pentagon Washington, April 9 (AFP) Apr 09, 2018 The US on Sunday denied it was conducting air strikes in Syria after state media reported a missile strike on an army air base had killed and wounded several people. "At this time, the Department of Defense is not conducting air strikes in Syria," a Pentagon spokesman said. "However, we continue to closely watch the situation and support the ongoing diplomatic efforts to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable." |
