Japan's Abe says N. Korea missile launches 'clearly violate' UN rules
Biarritz, France, Aug 25 (AFP) Aug 25, 2019
Japan's prime minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday called North Korea's latest missile test a violation of UN rules and said it was "extremely regrettable".

"The launch of short-range ballistic missiles by North Korea clearly violates the relevant UN Security Council resolutions," Abe said alongside President Donald Trump, who contradicted him, saying the tests were not a violation.

"It was extremely regrettable for us," Abe said, on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Biarritz, France.
