Middletown RI (SPX) Jul 20, 2007 KVH Industries unveiled a whole new line of high-performance, low-profile mobile satellite TV systems today at The Rally in Redmond, OR. The new TracVision SlimLine series of 12" satellite TV antennas for RVs offers RV owners unmatched benefits, including the highest signal gain and best reception in the industry, superior integration with DIRECTV standard and high-definition programming, and automatic satellite switching via the remote control. These benefits are already reaching RV owners as many premier RV manufacturers have started incorporating the TracVision SlimLine systems into their 2008 model year vehicles. "The new TracVision SlimLine systems are the smallest, simplest, and most powerful satellite TV antennas ever offered to the RV industry. In addition to outstanding in-motion tracking and HDTV-ready designs, they offer signal gain and reception far superior to competing 12" antennas and as good as our competitors' larger 15" antennas," explained Ian Palmer, KVH's executive vice president of satellite sales. "A small antenna no longer means inferior performance or an unacceptable compromise between design and reliability. The TracVision SlimLine series' breakthrough, super-efficient 12" antenna ensures that our customers enjoy crystal-clear reception even when competing systems are left searching for the satellite signal." The new TracVision SlimLine series includes four new 12" high options: TracVision R4 SL Stationary Satellite TV System - The affordable TracVision R4 SL is the perfect satellite TV solution for owners of fifth-wheels and other RVs that don't require the features of a full in-motion system. It provides full support for standard and HD DIRECTV programming as well as easy access to DISH Network and or ExpressVu. In addition, it offers a unique in-motion upgrade, ensuring an easy transition to satellite TV on the go. TracVision R5 SL In-motion Satellite TV System - This is the low-profile, in-motion satellite TV choice of leading Class A motorcoach manufacturers. It provides full support for standard and HD DIRECTV programming as well as easy access to DISH Network and ExpressVu. TracVision R6 ST In-motion Satellite TV System with Integrated Standard DIRECTV Receiver - For RV owners who truly call their coaches home, the TracVision R6 ST with KVH's exclusive, integrated 12V mobile DIRECTV receiver is the simple, reliable choice for access to hundreds of channels of DIRECTV programming and the option of adding HDTV. Equipped with KVH's DewShield electronic dew elimination technology (patent pending) to maintain optimal reception in even less-than-perfect weather and a single-cable design for fast installation, the TracVision R6 ST takes all that DIRECTV offers on the road. TracVision R6 DX In-motion Satellite TV System with High-definition DIRECTV Receiver - For the RV owner who demands the ultimate in on-the-move entertainment, the TracVision R6 DX is the only choice thanks to its integrated HD capabilities and free DIRECTV HD receiver. It also includes KVH's DewShield technology, single cable installation, and KVH's Multi-service Interface Box/Controller for support of other DIRECTV, DISH Network, and ExpressVu receivers and service. The TracVision R6 DX offers everything an RV owner could ever dream of in a mobile satellite TV system. Noting the growing demand for high-definition TV on the road, Palmer added, "We're also thrilled to offer an exclusive new option that makes KVH's TracVision systems the easiest to use in the industry: the KVH HDTV Tri-Sat AutoSwitch. Now RV owners and passengers will be able to enjoy DIRECTV HD programming as well as switch between standard and HD channels on as many as three different satellites using only the remote control, just like they do at home. The KVH HDTV Tri-Sat AutoSwitch is included as standard equipment with the TracVision R6 DX and will be available as an option for the R6 ST, R5 SL, and R4 SL."
