Denmark mulls hosting Ukrainian military equipment manufacturer Copenhagen, Feb 24 (AFP) Feb 24, 2026 Denmark in is in talks to host production facilities for Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyfall, which would become the second Ukrainian arms maker to produce in the Nordic country, the Danish defence ministry announced Tuesday. "Bringing strong Ukrainian defence companies to Denmark to work together with Danish industry will strengthen the security of both Denmark and Ukraine," Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen said in a statement. According to the statement from the Ministry of Defence, Poulsen had held talks with his Ukrainian counterpart on Tuesday. Ukrainian firm Fire Point, which develops drones and missiles for the military, was the first to set up in Denmark, where it began construction in Vojens of a plant to produce propellants in December. Production is scheduled to start in the autumn. If Skyfall also establishes production in Denmark, it would be encouraged to enter into partnerships with relevant Danish businesses, the ministry said. In parallel with any potential contract negotiations, "an in-depth screening and due diligence of the company's specific circumstances must be carried out, including with regard to corruption, ownership structure, and money laundering," it added. Denmark, like its Nordic neighbours, is one of Ukraine's largest military and civilian backers. |
