Soldier back in US after release by N.Korea
Washington, Sept 28 (AFP) Sep 28, 2023
American soldier Travis King has returned to the United Staters after being freed by North Korea, a Defense Department official said Thursday.

"I can confirm that he has landed in the US," the official told AFP, without providing further details.

King's return to the United States comes nearly three months after he joined a Demilitarized Zone sightseeing trip and slipped into North Korea instead of flying back to Texas to face disciplinary hearings over misbehavior in South Korea.
