ICEYE, a global leader in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite operations, will supply its satellite data to NATO Allied Command Operations (ACO) under the Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space (APSS) initiative.

The APSS program, overseen by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), is a collaborative, multi-national effort aimed at enhancing space-based intelligence sharing across NATO. It integrates commercial and government satellite assets to create a more unified, responsive, and cross-domain intelligence framework for military and political decision-making.

By granting ACO access to its radar satellite capabilities, ICEYE will significantly improve NATO's ability to perform rapid, data-informed assessments. ICEYE's SAR technology collects high-resolution imagery regardless of weather or lighting conditions, enabling continuous monitoring of both land and maritime regions. While standard data delivery occurs within eight hours of image acquisition, ICEYE can provide imagery in under one hour when needed.

The agreement expands on ICEYE's earlier 2025 collaboration with NATO's Situation Center (SITCEN), further embedding the company's data services into NATO's strategic operations. ICEYE Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Pekka Laurila stated, "We are very pleased to strengthen our cooperation with NATO and to provide our SAR satellite data to NATO as part of the APSS initiative. Our proven satellites provide actionable intelligence for situational awareness and rapid decision-making for NATO and allied countries."

ICEYE operates the world's largest SAR satellite constellation, capable of 25 cm ground resolution and frequent revisit times. The company has launched 54 SAR satellites to date, serving both internal and customer-driven missions.
