Ramon.Space has secured a contract from Eutelsat to provide onboard digital communication channelizers for the expansion of its OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation. This significant agreement follows years of collaboration between the two companies and represents a key milestone in the modernization of the OneWeb satellite network.

Under this contract, Ramon.Space will deliver an initial batch of 70 flight sets of its NuComm digital communication channelizer systems in the coming months. These systems will replace Eutelsat OneWeb's existing analog channelizers, supporting the constellation's digital upgrade as the new systems are integrated into satellites set to launch by the end of 2026. The contract also includes options for additional systems, reflecting the scalable nature of the partnership.

The NuComm channelizers from Ramon.Space offer advanced onboard processing capabilities, including digital filtering, any-to-any switching, and in-orbit programmability, enabling operators to deploy software-defined solutions even after launch. This flexibility supports the growing industry trend towards more adaptable satellite operations, aligning with future programs like the European IRIS.

"We are excited to be chosen by Eutelsat OneWeb to usher their constellation into the digital era," said Avi Shabtai, CEO of Ramon.Space. "Our advanced processors enable key capabilities that revolutionize satellite communications and empower customers to create cutting-edge digital constellations."

Fabien Vernat, Gen1 Replenishment Programme Manager for Eutelsat Group, added, "We're leveraging Ramon.Space computing technology to digitalize our satellite network, offering improved performance, scalability, and resilience for the future of OneWeb LEO constellations while ensuring delivery of continuity of service of the existing constellation with enhanced service features. This collaboration underscores our commitment to meeting our customer's demands while paving the way towards an architecture in line with the European IRIS2 constellation, ensuring sustainable and robust global communication solutions for our customers."
